returns/exchanges:
Receipt is required
Product must be returned in new condition in original packaging. If
product is returned out of original packaging, a $10 reboxing fee
will be charged.
If shipping product back that comes in a box (helmet, boots, etc),
please place product into another box for shipping. If product is
not put in a shipping box, the $10 reboxing fee will be charged.
We will credit your original shipment less shipping and handling
charges.
Any items returned will be exchanged or given a store credit without
penalty within 60 days.

Layaway Policy
(ATTACH TO INVOICE)
1. We require a down payment of 1/3.
2. A payment is required every 30 days from the time of initial
purchase.
3. We ask that layaway items be paid in full no later than 60 days
from date of initial purchase.
4. If consignee is not able to meet the above terms, deposit and
payments are forfeited to The Tack Shop. Exceptions may be made if
it is discussed prior to due date.
5. Special Orders and Custom orders cannot be placed on layaway.
6. Items on consignment may not be placed on layaway. Exception:
Consigned saddles may be negotiated with permission of consignee.

Saddle Trial Policy
It is our pleasure to allow you, as our valued customer, the
opportunity to take the saddle you have selected “on trial” for a 5
day period. We require credit card authorization for the full amount
of the saddle, including any tax and shipping charges. Should you
decide to buy the saddle, call the store and ask for a manager so
that we can process the sale and send you a receipt. Should you
return the saddle, the credit card will be refunded for the cost of
the saddle. To ensure that our saddles remain looking as new as
possible we ask that you adhere to a few simple requests.
1. Test Ride Saddles: The customer is responsible for any freight
and insurance to and from source.
2. Please do not clean or oil the saddle (new or used).
3. Protect the saddle from stirrup leather marks by wrapping the
leathers well with plastic wrap. We can also provide stirrup leather
covers with a $10 deposit, refundable upon return of the covers. We
expect to see marks on the billets from your girth, but NO other
marks on the saddle. DO NOT run the stirrups up, as this does mark
the saddle.
4. New saddles may be girthed up and ridden in for approximately 10
minutes to obtain an idea of how the saddle fits you and your horse.
5. Please wear paddock boots or short boots. DO NOT wear tall boots
or chaps, as these will rub the saddle. Please do not wear jeans.
6. Please use a thin clean pad under the saddle.
7. You are responsible for the saddle while it is in your care.
8. We do not assure the quality, safety, or integrity of used
saddles.
9. Saddles returned with excessive wear are subject to usage
surcharges. Any saddle returned with excessive wear on the flaps,
scratches in the leather, or dings on the pommel, cantle, or
elsewhere will automatically be assessed a minimum 10% surcharge of
the saddle value.

CONSIGNMENT POLICY

1) SPACE IS LIMITED, THEREFORE WE MUST INSIST THAT ALL ITEMS BE IN VERY
GOOD CONDITION. RIDING CLOTHING MUST BE IN STYLE, CLEAN AND PRESSED,
ON HANGERS. ALL BUTTONS MUST BE ON, ZIPPERS WORKING, HEMS IN; NO
HOLES OR TEARS OR STAINS. BOOTS MUST BE IN GOOD CONDITION AND
POLISHED. HORSE CLOTHING MUST BE CLEAN AND IN GOOD REPAIR. ALL TACK
MUST BE CLEAN AND OILED AND IN GOOD REPAIR (THE TACK SHOP WILL CLEAN
TACK FOR A FEE).
2) ITEMS WILL BE KEPT FOR A PERIOD OF 30 DAYS.
3) CONSIGNMENT FEES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
SADDLES: 20% OR $50 WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
ALL OTHER ITEMS: 1/3 OF AGREED UPON PRICE GOES TO THE TACK SHOP
WITH THE BALANCE BELONGING TO CUSTOMER.
4) CUSTOMERS HAVE A CHOICE OF STORE CREDIT OR STORE CHECK.
5) CUSTOMERS WILL BE GIVEN A RECEIPT FOR ITEMS PLACED ON
CONSIGNMENT. IT IS THE CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK ON ITEMS.
ANY ITEMS NOT PICKED UP AFTER 90 DAY PERIOD WILL BE DONATED.
6) THE TACK SHOP IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PILFERING, BURGLARY, DAMAGE
BY HANDLING OR WATER OR LOSS BY FIRE.
7) CONSIGNEE AGREES TO ALLOW ITEMS TO LEAVE SHOP FOR A LIMITED
PERIOD OF TIME FOR APPROVAL BY CUSTOMER. CUSTOMER SHALL BE REQUIRED
TO LEAVE A DEPOSIT OF PAYMENT IN FULL FOR SUCH ITEMS.
