16 hand appendix bay horse
He is a 16 hand appendix bay horse. He is 5 years old and incredibly calm! He is like a dog and easy to fall in love with. Great for older child or novice adult. He is a beautiful mover and gets lots of attention at shows. His training is english pleasure but is great at hunt seat. His parents are accomplished jumpers but he has no training but definitely fits the bill and could be taught.

12 y/o TB, 15.0 hh For free lease or to good home only. Maggie is a very athletic TB mare. I bought her 4 1/2 years ago and did H/J and eventing until a stifle issue forced her retirement. I think she would make a wonderful broodmare as she is so, so sweet and has very correct conformation and movement with a particularly nice walk and canter. She is pasture sound with front shoes only. She is friendly with dogs, other horses, kids, etc. I request right of first refusal.

CHICO, bay with blaze, 14 yr old TB/QH cross, 15.2 hands. Chico is a beautiful, sweet, willing little guy that would love to be some childs best friend (or small adult!). Chico is currently in training with me for some "tuning up", and he is a really a fun horse! He is quiet in the arena and on trails, does w-t-c willingly and quietly, no buck, bolt, rear. He is currently jumping small jumps...goes very quiet and steady to the jump. Right now he is just jumping cross rails, and he seems very "ho-hum" about the whole thing. Chico has very good basic dressage training, and would do very nicely for a lower level dressage or combined training mount. I wouldn't recommend him for a beginner only because he can be a little lazy and needs a bit of leg to get him forward, but an intermediate rider can ride him just fine...a light touch with a dressage whip is usually all the reminder he needs!! REALLY a fun little horse.....he is quiet without being "dead", and just needs a job and consistent work to keep him going! He is very sound, has no health issues, great ground manners, and is currently going barefoot with no problems at all.

In the past I have had occasion to send on word about horses for sale or in need, but never before have I had occasion to pass on word about a horse of my own for sale. If anyone is curious as to the backstory of how I came to own this wonderful girl, please e-mail me directly and I'll be happy to answer any and all questions. But as I want to keep this short I'm just going to straight to the description. Spirit is a 4 year old, rich mahogany bay tobiano paint. She is 15.2 hands - perhaps 15.3. I have not sticked her. She is a very, very good looking horse. She has a ton of eye appeal, and people just gravitate towards her. She's like a magnet. I cannot say enough about the quality of mind of this mare. She is incredibly quiet, brave, and sane. There's just not any nervousness or anxiety in her at all - she ties, cross-ties, clips, baths, trailers, etc., etc. She's amazingly self-confident, calm and composed. All the time. It's amazing! (Okay, confession - until now I've owned thoroughbreds exclusively for the last two decades. Perhaps the Quarter Horse and Paint people won't find this to be so absolutely stunning as I do.) Spirit has been well taken care of her whole life, has never been mistreated, and so she doesn't carry any baggage with her. She's also free and clear of any injury or history of lameness or medical problems. She's a clean slate. While green, she has had enough arena time to be relaxed under saddle, to know the basics (she has a great "whoa" on her), and to have gone on a good number of trail rides, which she relishes. Personally, I see her as the kind of horse who would really excel as an all-around horse, perhaps a 4-H project. I think she's easily beautiful enough to show APHA, but she was separated from her registration papers as a yearling, so unfortunately that's not a possibility for her. I ride dressage, but back in the day I had a Quarter Horse and did Western Pleasure and some reining, and I think that this mare's calling may well be in that department. She'll stretch out and do well in the HUS classes, and even low level dressage, but she defaults to a Western frame. With her natural confidence I think she'd love to work cows. But like I said, she's a blank slate - for all I know she could be an absolutely lovely hunter one day. The sky is the limit with her beauty and brains. Far and away the most important thing to me is that Spirit go to an excellent home who will appreciate her for who she is and who will utilize her potential. Spirit is the kind of horse who loves to be caught and fiddled and fussed with, and I just really want her to go to a place where she'll get that kind of attention.
